Cari Legal · Compliance Score

Score a programme
Add the policy. Pick the jurisdiction. Read the report.
A PDF, a Word file, Markdown or plain text, or paste the text. The engine reads every clause against each rule and writes the report below, with the provision of the law behind each finding where the text is held.

What it scores against
Every rule carries a citation.
A verified pack is one where every rule was read in the full text of the instrument and can show the provision. A provisional pack names what is second-hand and what would clear it, and the report prints that note above the findings.

How the score is built
The same reading a correspondent bank's compliance team does, written down.
Each rule is a requirement of the law
A pack is a jurisdiction's AML/CFT duties as rules: verify the customer, find the beneficial owner, screen for politically exposed persons, keep the records for the statutory years, report within the statutory days, say nothing to the customer, train the staff, audit the programme. Each rule names the section or regulation that imposes it.
The document is read, not summarised
The engine looks for the clause that meets each requirement. A duty the document states is met; a duty it is silent on is a gap; a duty that only applies to a bank that, say, offers correspondent accounts is left out of the score when the document shows it does not.
Weighted by severity
Critical requirements weigh four, high three, medium two, low one. The score is the evidenced weight over the applicable weight across every pillar, so one small pillar cannot swing it. 85 and above is Met, 50 to 84 is Partial, below 50 is Gap.
The provision is shown
Where the corpus holds the instrument, the report prints the section behind the finding beside it, so the reader checks the law rather than trusting the tool. Where it does not, the report says so.
What this is not
It is not legal advice and not a regulator's assessment. It reads what a document says, not what a bank does. A programme that reads well can still be unimplemented, and a thin document can sit on top of a sound operation.
This build carries the FATF texts, which are Creative Commons, and the statutes of each jurisdiction. The Basel Committee and Wolfsberg texts are cited but not reproduced until their permissions arrive, so a prudential score here names the standard without quoting it.
Packs marked provisional rest in part on digests, handbooks or consolidations that have not been checked against the gazetted text. The report prints that note above the findings every time such a pack runs.

One price per bank. Less than a day of a consultant.
A bank subscribes for its own institution and scores as often as it likes. If your association runs the programme, you join through it.
One licensed institution. Every user at the bank.
$4,788 a year, billed annually. Each further licensed entity in the same group: $199 a month.

Bankers' associations and supervisory authorities
Priced with the association, not on this page.
- The association endorses it and members join on its terms
- A branded portal on the association's domain, one key per member
- The aggregate view: which members are Met, Partial and Gap, by pillar, with no document text
- An association may cover its members; a supervisor gets the examiner view across every licensee
For associations and supervisors
Run it for every member, and see the sector in one view.
The hosted version gives each member its own key. A member scores its own programme; the documents are never stored; the scorecards are encrypted at rest and deleted on request. The association sees who is Met, Partial and Gap by pillar, with no document text in it, and can show a correspondent bank the sector's standing before the question is asked.
Book a call about a pilot Or write to usWhat a pilot includes
- A branded portal for the association, on its own domain
- One key per member, with each member's packs set for its jurisdiction
- The aggregate view, by pillar, that only the association sees
- The rule packs for every member's jurisdiction, verified against the gazetted text where it is held
- A practitioner review of every provisional pack before the first scores are shared

The document never leaves you. Cari Legal runs on your own computer, and the Compliance Score runs in your browser. Nothing is uploaded, and the hosted portal keeps only encrypted scorecards, never the documents.
Scores are produced from the text of the documents supplied and the rule packs named above, as at the date on the report. Nothing on this page or in a report is legal advice.
